Lord Inquisitor Abravanel

Inquisitor Oliver Morgaris (Untouchable)

-Xenoarcanist Ishmael
-Zealot w/ Big Saw ( A circular Eviscerator)
-Deatwatch Brother (White Scars) Not really an acolyte, but seconded to Mogaris' retinue.

Inquisitor Iberia Alonso

Inquisitor Maturin Melmoth

Founded by a small group of Inquisitors within the Argevanen Sector in the Segmentum Obscurus, the Cabal of the Burning Brand seeks to fight all manner of heresies, while focusing on the threat of the Daemonic. The cell is lead by Lord Inquisitor Abravanel, with Inquisitors Morgaris, Alonso, and Melmoth being the only other members. They seek what knowledge they can about their chosen enemy, and meet as often as possible to exchange information. The Cabal is suprisingly tolerant of differing beliefs, seeing that both Puritan and Radicals strive for the same goals. They are often at odds with more Puritanical factions, but rarely do they come into conflict with one another.

The chosen symbol of the Cabal is that of a burning torch, interposed in front of the Inquisitorial Rosette. Those members of the Cabal that choose to show their allegiance to the group tend to use some variation of the symbol, a small silver torch worn on the collar or as a brooch being the most common.

Currently, the Cabal is involved in preventing a being known only as "The Prophet of Ambience" from gaining entrance into the Black Library.
Domains of the Cabal of the Burning Brand

The Cabal often operates close around the Eye of Terror, due to the Argevanen Sector's proximity to the Eye, and the Cabal's chosen field of work. They search tirelessly for signs of daemonic taint, purging any such taint with ruthless ferocity.
The Cabal often holds Conclave at the Inqusitorial fortress of Nemesis Tessera. They will invite Inquisitors with similar lines of work to such Conclaves, but the more sensitive parts of their discussions are done secretely, often away from even the Inquisiton fortress.

The Cabal of the Burning Brand Secrets
A relatively new cell of Inquisitors, the Cabal has few secrets, apart from those secrets that each individual has, from Inquisitor Morgaris being an Untouchable, and Lord Inquisitor Abravanel's frequent dealings with the Eldar group known as the Burning Sun Brotherhood.

Allies:
Rogue Trader Midas Strom

Colonel Hass of the Sameter Infantry Tenth Regiment (The S.I.Xes), Imperial Guard (A tribute to Dan Abnett)

Admiral Tontius, Commanding Officer, Argevanen Sector, Subsector Battlefleet Grantius

The Eldar Pirates of the Burning Sun Brotherhood

Enemies:

Frastus, the Prophet of Ambience

The Techno Sirens of the Varaghil Group

Smuggler Brom Arstean, the Facilitator

The Bastard Child of the Emperor, a post-Alpha level Psyker

Possible backing from the Sorceror Ahriman, Caster of the Rubric, and therefore the Thousand Sons.

This group of Heretics seeks to gain entrance to the Black Library by finding a series of "Keys" Thes keys could be anything, from a book, to a person, or any other myriad items.

This is just a rough outline of ideas, more for my benefit than anything, so that I can organize my thoughts better. I'd be interested to see what anybody thought of my ideas.

In The Beginning....

As a start off for this grand blog of mine, I suppose it would be pertinent to outline the various things I am most likely to be blogging about. For now, as in the next few weeks, I am going to work on an article that has been brewing in my mind for Warhammer Fantasy Battles, and more specifically Mordheim. It is about the Elves' various deities, as I dont think that there has been too much explanation about this subject, and it has always been interesting to me. Currently, I am acouring this edition and last edition's Elvish army books for references, along with WHFB Rpg's Tome of Corruption/Salvation.

Coinciding with the above article, I plan to create a Khainite Warband for Mordheim. I'm looking to inlist some help for this endeavour, so hopefully someone will be inspired to help me.

Currently, the Heroes and Henchmen I plan to include are as follows:

Khainite Mordheim List
Heroes:
Witch Elf Hag
Disciple of Khaine
Henchmen:
Executioners
Assassains
Initiates of Khaine
Witch Elves

More on this as time progresses.

On the Modeling front, as soon as my order arrives, I will begin modelling up a Chaos Marauders Warband for the great Border Town Burning supplement to Mordheim. I have a ton of great ideas for this warband, with much inspiration taken from Mythic's Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. As I said above, more on that when the kits arrive.

Also, with Migsula's creation of =I= on the Dakkadakka forums, I have been searching for ideas so that I too can explore the wonderful world of Inquisimunda. As of this moment, my warband is going to be based around Xenos, with a couple races of my devising getting the spotlight (Think DnD Gnolls in Space for one and a cross between Starcraft Protoss and Halo Covenant for another.) The main premise of the warband is that they are a group of aliens that believe they are the instruments of the Old Ones' will, sent to eradicate those who are interfering with said will. Sounds a little like the Covenant no?

Anyway, I should have another post up in a day or two, hopefully with something interesting!
